Details About Klippy
One Size
We designed Klippy in one size to work for most pets. Big enough to snap onto a large collar D-ring yet small enough not to hang down too far on a small pet. Klippy is 7/8″ tall and just over 1/2″ wide. To visualize that, Klippy can easily hide behind a quarter.
Attach Your Pet’s Tag
Klippy works by using a normal split-ring attachment (included). Split-rings can be difficult to attach so after you attach it to Klippy one time, that’s it! Now you can quickly attach or detach your pet’s tag from the collar. Use it to change collars or simply remove the jangling when at home.
Attaches to Most Collars Quickly and Easily
Most collars have a D-ring meant for attaching tags. Klippy happily attaches to most D-rings, even larger ones up to 11/64″ like the one on the collars we sell for large dogs shown in the picture.
Tested Strong
Pull Tested
We test our Klippys to make sure that they are strong and durable. While they only have to hold the weight of a couple tags, they won’t pull open before the load reaches nearly 60 pounds! The split-ring will fail by stretching open before Klippy does, at about 30 pounds.
Preventing Lost Tags
Please make sure you’ve attached Klippy with the tags on a split-ring and the split-ring in the small hole on Klippy.
Checking the Spring
Make sure that the Klippy spring is not accidentally pushed out of its hole on either side of Klippy. It’s not likely for the spring to come out on its own but it can happen if you accidentally push the spring sideways.
Other Uses
Klippy works great for keys, especially ones that you don’t always carry on your keychain. It also can make removing your camera strap quick and easy. Use one to hang a small bluetooth speaker off your backpack. Anytime you need a handy little clip, think Klippy!
